Ballet Theatre Queensland (BTQ) invites audiences to step into a world of enchantment with their brand-new production of Snow White, set to dazzle at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) from January 23-26, 2025.
In this fresh take on the beloved fairytale, Snow White’s story unfolds with a mix of charm and intrigue. Following the untimely death of her mother, Snow White finds herself under the care of a seemingly benevolent but ultimately malevolent stepmother. As the Evil Queen’s true nature is revealed, Snow White must flee to escape her sinister plans. Along her journey, she encounters seven enchanting Pixies who offer their help and protection. Despite the Queen’s relentless pursuit to eliminate Snow White, the rightful heir to the throne, the young princess’s resilience and the support of her newfound friends promise a tale filled with dark twists, turns, and ultimate triumph.
This production showcases brand-new choreography by Artistic Director Clare Morehen, paired with an original score by Dr. Lucas D. Lynch, ensuring a unique and captivating experience for audiences of all ages.
