UK premiere of Muriel’s Wedding The Musical announced
Australian producers Global Creatures have announced that the highly acclaimed “Muriel’s Wedding The Musical” will premiere in the UK at Leicester’s Curve theatre. Performances are scheduled to run from April 10 to May 10, 2025.

“Muriel’s Wedding The Musical” has garnered significant acclaim, winning five Helpmann Awards, seven Sydney Theatre Awards, an Awgie Award, the 2018 David Williamson Prize, and an ARIA Award Nomination. The musical celebrated its world premiere in November 2017 in a co-production with the Sydney Theatre Company and returned for an Australian tour in 2019. It was praised as a smash hit by critics and audiences alike.
Global Creatures, based in Sydney, specializes in producing original theatrical works. The company’s portfolio includes critically acclaimed productions like “Walking with Dinosaurs — The Arena Spectacular,” “How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular,” “Strictly Ballroom The Musical,” and “King Kong.” “Muriel’s Wedding The Musical” toured Australia in 2017 and is now set to enchant UK audiences in 2025.
