Critical Stages Touring announces Robbi James as new CEO
Robbi James has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and Director of Critical Stages Touring (CST), according to the Chair of the organization, Mark Thomas. Robbi James will replace Scarlet McGlynn, who acted as the CEO for the past four months. McGlynn was thanked by the board and Thomas for her leadership during a busy period. Robbi James has been with the company for four years as the Marketing and Engagement Manager and played a crucial role in establishing the independent production house, Rogue Projects, as their Executive Creative Producer.
Robbi James has an impressive career background, including retail, media, business development, and communications. He holds a Masters of Arts Management from the Australian Institute of Music, Sydney Opera House, which he completed in 2018. As CEO/Director of Critical Stages Touring, Robbi will work closely with the small but talented CST team in Sydney to develop strategies that contribute to the sustainability of the company and the broader small and medium-sized theatre sector.
